Friday proved to be the most disappointing day of the week for both the main tips and the guide. The week has been full of nice priced placed horses to keep our heads above water, but Friday gave me a definite sinking feeling. The day kicked off with HONEYMEAD who reared in the stalls as they opened and Hanagans head almost hit the top of the stalls. All momentum was lost and from there had little chance.
Maybe he wasn’t good enough but I have a feeling he is much much better than that and we may just get a nice price next time out. There’s nothing else worth talking about as it was a pretty poor show all round. This is usually my most successful meeting of the year and it will take something special to turn it round. I have a few strong fancies today but didn’t bother with the guide as it was time consuming and proving fruitless. Fingers crossed we can end the week in style!
