Beverley racecourse is of oval shape and is a right handed track. It is about 1 mile and 3 furlongs in distance. Beverley’s back straight is run downhill and then there is a tight bend leading into the home straight. Once into the home straight, the last 3 furlongs are run uphill. Similar to Bath racecourse there is an extension on the home straight which is used for 5 Furlong sprint races, and this is uphill from start to finish.
