In the Duke Of Cambridge I am a big fan of LADY BOWTHORPE who ran a nice race in being second behind yesterdays first race winner and superstar Palace Pier and she could take some beating and at odds available of 9/2 in places I am confident to go Maximum Each Way Bets. There is an interesting runner in the field and that is the Gosden’s Indie Angel who ran behind our selection in the Lockinge but raced alone for the majority of the race before joining the main group and running out of steam late on. It does seem to be a massive price on a Gosden/Dettori runner and she definitely should not be dismissed out of hand and if you are a punter that is happy to back a couple in a race then a few pounds each way won’t do any harm. However I think our selection LADY BOWTHORPE will be too strong for this field.
The Prince Of Wales’s Stakes is between two runners in LOVE and Lord North and I just have a real soft spot for Love who keeps on winning. There won’t be any real value in either of these runners but if you are looking to have a bet in it then it is LOVE for me.
That will be it for me on Day Two. The Royal Hunt Cup looks particularly tricky this year and it is never easy to pick the winner of that one, so I am just going to leave it alone.
Good Luck!
