For a split second I thought I was about to make amends for the last few weeks with a lovely 20/1 winner in ARLEQUIN. As Sand Skier just edged over and Michael Hills stopped riding for a couple of strides I knew that a place was all that was left for us as that surely cost him the neck and short head that he was beaten in the end. It is no coincidence that the first 3 home were drawn 18,19 and 20 and those having to run wide including RANSOM NOTE suffered for it big time. Still we show a small profit on the race and at least there has been no damage done!
