Another frustrating afternoon for MOYNAHAN who will never win a race if Tom Queally keeps the ride. There is no doubt that Queally has ability and can ride a strong finish, but if it comes to a hold up horse where the use of a brain is required then he falls woefully short. I have sat and reflected and watched the race half a dozen times and we will never know how close MOYNAHAN could have been, given half a chance. It may be that he wouldn’t have been good enough but all we want is to see the horse given a chance.
Dropped out and going well there was a huge gap to Queallys left, so he decides to go right and into a brick wall, then he sees the gap and it closes, then he goes right again and that closes………I will be sticking with this horse but only if I see a different jockey on board. The ability is there but the luck isn’t!!
That’s two races now that the same jockey has made the same errors! He managed to ride Lord Shanakill to victory for his guvnor in the next and managed to get the breaks needed. Very very frustrating!
