Sandown Park Racecourse features separate flat racing and national hunt racecourses. Flat racing is held on a right-handed 1 mile 5-furlong oval with a challenging 4-furlong uphill run-in. Sprints are hosted on a separate 5-furlong uphill straight that bisects the flat racing course.National hunt steeplechases are run on a separate jumps racetrack (hurdles races are run on the flat course).
The jumps track covers a distance of 1 mile 5-furlongs, and like the flat racing track, features a challenging uphill run over the final 5 furlongs.
